En 2008, on a renovaté plus parts de LA SOURCE, et il est plus comfortable et plus de chambres.

In 2008, we have renovated many part of the LA SOURCE, and now il becomes

more comfortable and more rooms.

1. Un nouvel tonnel est installed dans le terrace

2. La Cuisine a change des equites à cuisine American completement.

The kitchen has changed a new completely American style. We still keep our antique provencal funiture, and la source, but the cooking tools refrigater are new. It is in the redwood style, very bright and morden.

3. Le nouvel verhanda -- The new verhanda

On a installé un verhanda dans le terrace, et il a donne le function de salle la manger et un part du sejour.

The new verhanda (winter-room ) is installed, as a diner room and one part of living room.

4. Le petit antichamber est funtion comme un sejour de TV et loisir.

4. Nouvel Chambre II-- The New Second Bedroom

Salle à manger est devenu une chambre. Original diner room has changed to a chambre with a twin bed. Can be for a

single adult or for two children.

5. Nouvel Chambre III -- The New Third Chambre

Sejour est devenu une nouvel chambre double. The livingroom has changed to a bedroom for two.

6. Le chambre principle est toujour le meme.

The main bedromm is remaining the same.

7. Le salle de bain a installé un entrance independant pour enter par le terrace.

The bathroom has made a new port independantly to allow to enter from the terrase.

A bio garden in LA SOURCE

Le jardin de LA SOURCE est toujour naturel, et il y a toujours quelques plantes à manger et à cuisiner, par example: herbes aroatiques et fruits. Il y a quelque lauriers, oliviers, thym, rosemarins, orangers, mandariniers, citronieres figuiers, et mirrabelles. On peut les prendre selon la saison. Cette annee, on a aggrandi le potager, on a plante plus des legumes, qui plus important ,tous sont Bio. Si vous visitez LA SOURCE, vous pourrez demander quelque legumes ou fruits Bio. On a aussi produit quelques confitures et vinaigres dont les recettes viennent de la mere d'Alain(1975). Si vous aimiez faire des confitures , on peut vous donner les recettes.

The garden of LA SOURCE is totally natural and biologic. There are always some plantes for cooking or eating, like herbal and fruits. There are some old trees of Bay leaf, olivers, orange, mandarin,and lemon, figues, and plums, et some herbal, thym, rosemary, and bay leaf. They mature according to the season.

This year, we enlarge the vegetables area in the garden, and we are planting more vegetables, and most important all of them are Bio. If you visit LA SOURCE, you can take advantage to ask for some fruits or vegetables Bio.

We also produce some jams(confitures), orange, plum, grapefruit, marmelades, and fruit vinegar which are based on the original recipes of Alain’s mother(1975), no preservatives, no chemical color, a traditional home made French Jams. If you like to make your own jam, I could provide

free lesson or recipe.

Voyage around the Nice: Visit out of Nice is another charm!

To visit Nice, it is not only just to see Nice, in fact, the region is so many too see. Nice is the last big city next to the border of Italy and France, also Monaco. It is a great advantage to visit 3 countries together.

Near Nice, there are several small villages that you can visit within an half day, or one day’s trip, so called highland villages, like EZE, Tourrette-Levens, Carros, Saint –Jeannet,le Broc- etc.

In the summer, there is a special train "Le train des merveilles", from which road, you could visit several villages which are on the ancient road from Nice to Torino, the direct way,in the past,from Provence to Piemont, Italy. The road is climbing the mountain, up to 1000 meters altitude. You can visit many beautiful villages, like Peille, Sospel,la Brigue, Breil sur Roya, and arrive at Tende where you can visit an prehistorical museum dedicated to the civilization of human peoples painters on stone in the high valley of the merveilles photo 4 painting of cave

One advantage of Nice, so close to Italy, is,within an hour's drive, you passed 3 countries, France, Monaco, then Italy. Many people know the Friday's market in Ventimiglia, as wel as the Casino of San Remo, but we discovered several mountain roads to reach some very unique medieval villages, like, Dolceàcqua, Apricale, Bajado, Pigna, or Rochetta Nerviana.

The village of the photo 1, 6 and 7, is called Rochetta Nerviana, a non well-known one in the travel guide, but it is magnificient, if you visit there, you feel surroundingly by an extremely romantic valley,with a very nice resturant where you could eat very hearty family food, so called "casa lingua" in Italien . The Ligurian villages are so charming, but so hided, we spent year after year to discover them one by one, and decide to edit a blog for Highroad Alta Via of Liguria.

Jardin piscine

The piscine of LA SOURCE is so popular for all the vocation familles, most families told us that they have passed a great time in our pool. But our piscine is also a garden, family can take suntense on lawn, rest in the pergola, even cook in the BBQ area.

Blue water, sunshine, and a great memory of summer. The video of two children of Shay family are playing in the piscine, video were taking by Shay in July 2007 . They are American Chinese, and are livng in Peking China now.

Chez Daissy -- A piece of delication

We have remodeled one appartment of second floor, and give her name Chez Daissy, by the name of Alain's mother. This is a very romantic appartment, we decorated it more French Baroque style.

La Source is more typical Provencal style, and Chez Daissy is more 18 century style. Most of the furnitures are from 18 or 19 centurys .

We love antique, or old collections, here you will see part of our collections from antique store.

Half of the salon are windows, so it is very bright, warm in the winter, and fresh in the summer.

The romantic bedroom.

In the day time, you will see the green and sun from the window, and at night you can see the star and light from the stree.

The American kitchen equited all the tool for cook a good meal

The garden is just next to the pool, and a best place for enjoy a typical French style diner. French eat their meal in the garden in the sunny day from breakfast to dinner. Why not eat your meal under the sun and trees!

Piscine au Soleil

Cette année,une piscine a été installée dans le jardin façe à la foret. La plage de Nice est proche,mais en été elle est pleine de monde. Le fait d'avoir une piscine à la Source ajoute au confort et à la relaxation. Cette piscine est située dans la partie superieure du jardin au milieu des arbres,dans un espace vert, tres ensoleillé, rafraichis par le vent e la coline,...c'est la vie.

This year, a swiming pool has been installed at La Source, in front of the forest. Nice beaches are very close but with many people in summer time.

We think to have a pool at home offers more confort and relax. The pool is located in the upper part of the garden surrounded by trees, in a green sunny space, with the breeze from the hill, so quite ....that is life!!!

La Mer, Les Plages,La Promenade des anglais

De fait, la villa est à proximité de la mer et de la Promenade des Anglais. Il faut 15 minutes à pied de la plage à la villa. C'est le privilege de la Source, avoir le vert and le bleu.

In fact, our maison is very close to the beach, the famous Promenade des Anglais. It takes 15 minutes by walk to reach the beach. So we have the view of the country, also just next to the sea. This is La Source, we have both colors of Green also Blue!

Nice La Source

La source est une villa provençale de la famille Cousin qui date de 1950, mais qui a été completement rénovée en 1998, sise dans un grand jardin sauvage, toujour trés calme, et paisible.

La Source is a provencal style villa, belonging to the Cousin family since 1950, always very calm and peaceful.

Le rez de jardin a été amménagé pour la location saisonniere. Les chambres sont decorées en style provençal, et restituent le cadre et le charme du pays niçois

The garden floor was renovated into an appartment for vocation rental. All the rooms are decorated in the style of provence, in order to preserve the style of the old time county of Nice.

Des soji(cloisons japonaises)ont été installés pour separer la chambre
bibliotheque de l'antichambre et de la salle à manger.

We installed japanese partitions (soji ) to separate the dining room and the living room. Between both there is an antechamber,and a special corner for reading or rest.

La chambre principale

Le lit a été encastre dans un meuble de rangement pour conserver l' originalité de la chambre ancienne. Ce lit est très classique et correspond au style de la chambre parquetée de bois d'aulne.

On dit "A room with a view!" C'est la vue de la fenêtre.

Ceci est la vue de la terrasse, et la salle à la manager d'été. This is the view of terrasse, now also a good place for diner.

Jardin à la source:

La maison est entourée d'un grand jardin,d' environ 3000 M², et il y a toujour beaucoup de choses à faire.

Les jardins de la Source:, le jardin du haut vit comme il veut, de grands espaces sont sauvages, et naturels. Les fleurs s'épanouissent au rythme des saisons, voici quelques fleurs qui ont fleuris aujourdui dans le jardin. Il y a lavande, hortensia, et plantes aromatiques: thym, sauge, basilic, estragon, romarin.

Le jardin du bas est plus classique,les terasses sont plantées d'orangers et d'autres agrumes,mais aussi de figuiers,de pruniers et de pêchers.

Our house has a very huge garden, 3000M². In fact, we are surounding by a small forest. We live in the city of Nice, but look like to live in the country with all the view green. In the garden, it is always something to do, but most part of la Source, we leave it naturally, and let the wild flowers grows as season .

The lower garden is more classic,and is planted with orange,lemon,and other various fruit threes.
